OUR
Initiatives
CHANGING A LIFE
We view every life as important. Therefore, we focus on identifying and meeting the individual needs of orphans, underprivileged children, and their families. Through personal relationships, educational programs, food, clothing, and other necessities we bring positive impact to each life.
INFLUENCING A COMMUNITY
We believe that a healthy community creates a safe place where children become filled with purpose and where people are able to rise above their obstacles.
We focus our efforts in contributing to the educational development of underprivileged families, with the ultimate goal of creating self-sustainability.
TRANSFORMING A NATION
We are dreamers with a vision, who believe in action and commitment. Our goal is to create societal transforma- tion through mindset change that empowers individuals to see them-selves as overcomers and problem-solvers. We pioneer new uncharted territories with urgency, tenacity, passion and dedication.

WE BELIEVE IN THE PURSUIT OF A NOBLE CAUSE WITH THE RIGHT SPIRIT OF INTENT, WHICH GIVES US THE RIGHT TO GO AND TO DO GOOD TO ALL PEOPLE OF ALL NATIONS.
ADOPT A NEIGHBORHOOD BULGARIA
Adopt a Neighborhood Bulgaria Campaign was started in 2018, shortly after we began our partnership and children's curriculum implementation with Metro World Child out of New York City, NY. MWC is an organization with over 50 years of experience in reaching children and youth globally with innovative programs and faith-based principles.

Since then, in April 2021, Changing a Generation-Bulgaria was officially registered as a branch nonprofit organization to our Changing a Generation - USA. We developed our own curricula in 2022 called "The 16 Worlds of Christian" based on the Pilgrim's Progress animated film and book by John Banyan. We released the Bulgarian dubbed animated film in Bulgaria nationwide in April 2022. The film reached over 40,000 people through cinemas and 250 partnering Evangelical churches.
Our Bulgarian branch has five local partnering churches and non-profits in the regions of Sofia, Veliko Turnovo, Ruse, Pleven and Burgas. We have 22 location where we conduct weekly/monthly outreaches. We have 12 (part and full time) staff and program and teacher volunteers, as well as additional seasonal volunteers, who work with us and our children's programs.

We offer individuals, churches and business companies the opportunity to partner with us in practical ways as we meet the needs of the people living in some of the most deprived areas of Bulgaria.

Education is an important tool in reducing the poverty, hopelessness and vulnerability of children and their parents. By offering educational opportunities, we reduce the risk of children being trafficked and exploited, and increase their chance of living with fulfilled dreams.

OUR CURRENT INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

BULGARIA
We utilize MWC's Biblically-based curriculum, as well as our "16 Worlds" curriculum during our outreaches and weekly programs. Our focus is to create a safe
environment where children feel loved and are being taught life-skills in interactive and fun ways.
Our implementational organization Metro World Child-Bulgaria was established in 2018, and officially registered in April 2021 as Changing a Generation-Bulgaria. It is solely supported by friends and partners of our umbrella organization, Changing a Generation - USA (established in 1995).

UGANDA

In partnership with Hope for Uganda out of Seattle, WA we provide scholarships for children and young adults who are orphaned or come from extremely poor families.
We have a private school in Lwamasanga where the children live, play, and focus on their studies in a safe environment.

EMPOWERMENT
INITIATIVE
We believe in restoring people's dignity by empowering them to become self-sufficient. This in turn produces change in their society as a whole.

OUR CURRENT INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

BULGARIA

By purchasing hand-painted silk scarfs, paintings, hand-made cards, and jewelry from our local partners, we create job opportunities. We sell the items throughout the year during our events (some are available at our online store). Money obtained from the sales go to our non-profit for our weekly visitations and outreaches.

UGANDA

By using their creativity and skills, women are creating beautiful jewelry that we purchase from them and sell to raise funds for educational scholarships. The money goes back into the country through the monthly children sponsorships. This allows our local friends to participate in giving back to their nation.

100% of designated donations go directly to the initiatives and/or child sponsorship programs.
Ceitci Demirkova Ministries DBA Changing a Generation pays all admin expenses from our product sales and the speaking fees/undesignated offerings Ceitci (our Founder and CEO) receives during her weekly speaking engagements.
